In my mind as I was reading this devotion from days gone by I had an image of the wresting shows I watched as a kid.  A tag team match was going on and one partner was getting pummeled he would crawl to the rope and tag his stronger more able partner who would.come in and do what he was unable to do. There are so many opponents that are wearing us down we feel the need to tap out but what we really need is Christ to win the battle for us.

Christ as the inner power source doesn't guarantee an easy life. Challenges will still arise, but we face them differently. We are no longer alone, fighting with our limited human strength. We have an indwelling champion, one who has already overcome, empowering us to stand firm.

Think of it like facing a formidable opponent. You wouldn't enter the ring alone. So why battle life's struggles without the ultimate champion by your side? By surrendering to His presence, you tap into an invincible force that conquers negativity, fear, and despair.

This isn't just a theory; it's a transformative experience. As A.B. Simpson reminds us, "Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." And the reward? Not earthly accolades, but the fulfillment of Revelation's promise: "To him that overcometh, will I give..." a deeper connection with God and the indescribable joy of living victoriously in Him.
