All The Water John 15:9 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

This video did a weird closeup I will get it right tomorrow 😁

All The Water John 15:9  #RTTBROS #Nightlight
John 15:19 says, "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you

"Ships do not sink because of all the water around them, but because of water inside"

The world, with its alluring currents and treacherous tides, can easily pull us off course. Yet, as Jesus reminds us, we are to be "in the world, but not of the world" (John 17:14, paraphrased). This verse, like a lighthouse beam, illuminates the path of faithful living. It's not about complete isolation, but about maintaining a vigilant watch over our inner selves, ensuring the waters of the world don't seep in and sink our spiritual ship.

It has been pointed out that "The world is a great sea, and the Church is a little boat. If the sea gets into the boat, the boat will sink; but if the boat gets into the sea, the sea will be navigated." This powerful image underscores the importance of guarding our hearts and minds from the world's influences.

The world is not the enemy; the system of the world is the enemy.  This "system" encompasses its values, desires, and priorities that often contradict God's teachings. It's the allure of materialism, the pull of envy and comparison, the temptations of fleeting pleasures. Allowing these to permeate our inner being, our "operating system," can erode our faith and lead us astray.

So, how do we navigate this turbulent world without letting it drown our spiritual essence? Here are some anchors to hold us steady:

*Scripture as our compass: Immerse yourself in God's Word daily. It offers guidance, strength, and a clear understanding of His will for your life.
*Prayer as our lifeline: Maintain an open communication with God. Share your struggles, seek His wisdom, and find solace in His presence.
*Community as our support: Surround yourself with fellow believers who share your values and can offer encouragement and accountability.
*Discernment as our shield: Cultivate a critical mind, carefully evaluating the world's messages and aligning them with God's truth.
