FREE AT LAST MATT 6:14-15 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

FREE AT LAST MATT 6:14-15 #RTTBROS  #Nightlight

FREE AT LAST.

Matthew 6:14-15 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your heavenly Father forgive your trespasses." (KJV)

Forgiveness is a challenging yet freeing act. When someone wrongs us, resentment can take root in our hearts. We nurse grudges and withhold mercy. But this bitterness only poisons our own spirit. As Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:14-15, God forgives us to the extent that we forgive others. Forgiveness is not condoning wrong acts but rather releasing others from condemnation.

As Mark Twain wrote, forgiveness is like a crushed violet releasing its sweet fragrance on the foot that injured it. This fragrance is the perfume of grace. Forgiveness sets both the forgiven and forgiver free from resentment's shackles. The one forgiven is released from fear of retaliation or rejection. The one who forgives is unbound from bitterness that corrodes the soul.

Forgiveness heals broken relationships and restores peace. It allows room for understanding, compassion and reconciliation. With open hands and open hearts, we can move forward in freedom. Where there are wounds, forgiveness brings balm. Where there is division, it enables unity. By God's strength, may we walk in forgiveness toward all people, leaving judgment to Him alone. As we release others, we too are released into new life.

I Don't Know Prayer #RTTBROS #Nightlight

 I Don't Know Prayer Eph 3:20 #RTTBROS  #Nightlight

God Knows

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." (Ephesians 3:20, KJV)

In times of crisis and uncertainty, we often come before God with what I call “I don’t know” prayers. “Lord, I don’t know how to save my marriage.” “Father, I don’t know how to help my prodigal child return home.” “God, I don’t know how to break free from this addiction.” We feel lost, afraid, powerless. We have reached the end of our own understanding and abilities.

But the God we cry out to is not limited as we are. He knows all things - the past, present and future are all open before His eyes. As Ephesians 3:20 assures us, He “is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” His power has no bounds, and His wisdom no end.

So we end our “I don’t know” prayers with the three most powerful words we can utter: “But You do!” But you do know how to heal my family, how to soften my child’s heart, how to break the chains that bind me. You know the way even when I cannot see it. Your understanding is perfect.

We may feel lost, but our God knows the way. We may feel afraid, but He tells us “Fear not.” We may feel powerless, but “all power belongs to God.” When we do not have the answers, we can rest in the One who does. Our “I don’t knows” become “But You do!” And that makes all the difference.
