Real Prosperity Rev 2:8-11 #Nightlight #RTTBROS #RevelationRevealed RR7
My friends, our Scripture reading today comes from Revelation chapter 2, verses 8 through 11. Let's listen to what the Word of God says:
"And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death."
Now friend, Jesus Christ Himself is speaking these words to the church in Smyrna. And the message is clear: No matter what persecutions or trials you face, be faithful even unto death, and you will receive the crown of life.
Jesus identifies Himself as the first and the last, the eternal God who died and rose again. And because He lives, we too shall live. No grave could hold our Savior, and no persecution can separate us from His love.
The believers in Smyrna faced poverty and slander from false Jews, but Jesus calls them rich in faith. My friends, true prosperity is not houses and lands - it's having Jesus in your heart! Don't let so-called "prosperity preachers" deceivingly tell you that God's blessings are measured by your bank account. Trust in God, not gold!
Now Jesus warns that some will be cast into prison and face tribulation. But He commands, "Fear none of those things!" Keep your eyes on the crown of life. Christian, no matter what trials you're facing today, Jesus walks with you through the fire. Keep looking to the prize that awaits you on the other side!
Finally, Jesus admonishes us all: "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." My friend, are you listening? The Spirit of God is speaking to us today through this passage. He's saying: Be faithful, stand strong, cling to Jesus - and overcometh this world!
Won't you heed Christ's call today? Turn from sin, trust in Him, and you shall receive that glorious crown of life. There's a day coming when no more sorrows will weigh down our heads. But until then, we must run this race with endurance, knowing that Jesus will see us through to the end. Amen!
