Cling to Christ Rev 2:18-29#Nightlight #RTTBROS #RevelationRevealed RR9

Revelation 2:18-19 KJVS - 18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first

The church in Thyatira faced an onslaught of false teaching. A self-proclaimed prophetess promoted sexual immorality and idol worship, leading many believers astray. Her poisonous words undermined God's truth and tainted their community.

But Jesus saw beyond the surface struggles to the hearts of His faithful followers. He affirmed their "love, faith, service and perseverance" (v.19). Despite the surrounding darkness, rays of light still shone in Thyatira.

Christ encouraged them to hold unswervingly to Him, reminding them of His piercing eyes that see all. He searches minds, discerns motives, and judges each one's work (v.23). We cannot hide our sin from the One whose feet blaze like burnished bronze.

Just as Jesus exposed the false prophetess' wickedness, He also saw the faithful few who rejected her lies. To them He promised authority to rule the nations and the morning star (v.28) - Christ Himself, the One who rises like the dawn to scatter sin's dreadful night.

Take courage, believer. When immorality is called good and lies are upheld as truth, fix your eyes on Jesus. Cling to His commands. Patiently endure every hardship for His name's sake. Sin's pleasures quickly fade but its wages endure forever. The faithful will be rewarded with imperishable crowns. Stand strong. Jesus sees you, knows you, and loves you. He will soon make all things new.

Stand firm on God's truth when the culture is compromised and cling to Christ amidst corruption.
