The Master Is There JN 14:1-2 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Master Is There JN 14:1-2 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Master Is There
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:1-2 KJV)

Death is a difficult and frightening concept for many. The unknown can create anxiety. Yet as Christians, we can find comfort in knowing that Jesus has prepared a place for us and conquered death so that we may have eternal life with Him.

A sick man turned to his doctor as he was
preparing to leave the examination room
and said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell
me what lies on the other side." Very
quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know ..."
"You don't know? You're a Christian Man,
and don't know what's on the other side?"
The doctor was holding the handle of the
door; on the other side came a sound of
scratching and whining, and as he opened
the door, a dog sprang into the room and
leaped on him with an eager show of
gladness. Turning to the patient, the
doctor said, "Did you notice my dog? He's
never been in this room before. He didn't
know what was inside. He knew nothing
except that his master was here, and when
the door opened, he sprang in without fear.
I know little of what is on the other side of
death, but I do know one thing ... I know
my Master is there and that is enough

The story about the doctor and his dog illustrates this well. The dog bounded into the room, overjoyed to be with his master again. He didn't know what was inside, only that his beloved owner was there.

Similarly, we may not know everything about what lies beyond this life, but we know our Savior is there. His presence ushers us into paradise with Him when we pass on from this world. What a wonderful truth! Jesus defeated death and opened the way to eternal life. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. As His followers, we can trust Him completely.

No matter what uncertainties we face, we can cling to Christ. His love and sovereignty are unshakable truths. He is preparing a place for us, and that is enough.

My Sins Are Gone #Nightlight #RTTBROSby Dr. Paul Chappell

My Sins Are Gone #Nightlight #RTTBROS
by Dr. Paul Chappell

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old. Micah 7:18-20

The crew members of the British fishing boat Galwad-Y-Mor had no hint of trouble. The only unusual thing they noticed was extra tension on the line as they pulled in their crab traps, but they hoped that meant the traps were full. Instead, a huge explosion rocked the boat. The seven men escaped with their lives, although several suffered serious injuries, when the boat sank due to the damage it suffered. The Marine Accident Investigation Board determined that the explosion was the result of “old munitions on the seabed.” The boat had accidentally caught an old mine, and it blew up as they pulled it toward the surface. The past had not stayed hidden beneath the sea.

That never happens with our sins. When God places them in the depths of the sea, they never resurface. There may be consequences and effects of sin that linger, but the sins themselves are buried where they will never be brought up against us again. When the devil accuses us, we have a defense attorney who has already paid the price for those sins. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (1 John 2:1). His faithfulness ensures that our sins can never be placed back on our account or held against us again. They are in the sea for good.

Today's Growth Principle:
We should never let guilt or shame over past sins that we have confessed keep us from enjoying fellowship with God.

Not A Time To Play Catch-up #NormanKissinger #NK #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Not A Time To Play Catch-up #NormanKissinger #NK   #Nightlight #RTTBROS

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

It's easy to ignore our relationship with God when life seems to be going smoothly. We get busy with work, family, hobbies - all good things, but things that can distract us from spending quality time with the Lord. Just like students who don't study throughout the semester try to cram the night before the big test, we often try to cram in time with God when a crisis hits. But that's not how strong relationships are built.

God desires consistency and perseverance in our walk with Him. When we regularly spend time praying, reading the Word, worshiping, and serving, we build spiritual strength for the tests life will bring. Just as athletes train daily, not just before the big game, we need to make our relationship with God a daily priority.

Let's commit to seeking the Lord each day, not just when trouble comes. If we wait upon Him continually, He will renew our strength, and equip us to not just survive life's trials but to thrive and glorify Him through them. Consistency now prepares us for the tests ahead.

Fairest LORD Jesus #Nightlight #RTTBROSCorrie ten Boom

Fairest LORD Jesus  #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Corrie ten Boom

For one year, she found herself stuck in a refrain of three words. “No,” “Yes,” and “Corrie,” was all Cornelia Ten Boom could say after suffering a stroke. For two months she lay in a coma, until she slowly resurfaced, aware but paralyzed. Her third word, “Corrie,” was the name of one of her daughters who would go on to be known as a heroine during World War II and the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands.

Corrie and her family hid Jews within the walls of their home and became ringleaders in the underground movement to protect the Jewish people. It was work for which her family would be thrown into prison, and later, concentration camps. It was a mission her father and sister would ultimately die for. But 20 years before all of this, long before the German invasion, Corrie’s sister, Nollie, was to be married.

In her memoir, The Hiding Place, Corrie writes about the radiance her mother shone that day as Cornelia was helped into the pew by her daughters. Corrie wrote she could imagine no one present would have guessed the gracious and smiling woman in the front pew could neither walk nor speak.

The Ten Boom daughters chose to close the wedding service with their mother’s favorite hymn, Fairest Lord Jesus. As Corrie stood in the pew to sing, she heard an astonishing sound from behind her.

“Behind me in the pew,” Corrie recounted, “Mama’s voice was singing too. Word after word, verse after verse, she joined in, Mama who could not speak four words, singing the beautiful words without a stammer. Her voice which had been so high and clear was hoarse and cracked, but to me it was the voice of an angel.”

The same Jesus whose first miracle took place at a wedding in Cana was carrying out another wedding miracle in a Netherlands’ church nearly 2,000 years later.

Four weeks later, asleep with a smile on her face, Cornelia Ten Boom went home to Jesus. After the miracle at the wedding, Corrie shared the family had hoped, in the words of Fairest Lord Jesus, they were witnessing the recovery of her mother. “But the words she had sung she was not able to say, nor did she ever sing again. It had been an isolated moment, a gift to us from God, His own very special wedding present.”

The same God who wrote Cornelia Ten Boom’s story has written ours also. He created us to know Him and ourselves better as we sing of His goodness. Time and again, as we sing His praise, we are reminded of the miracles He has done from eternity past to our present-day lives. Without a stammer, we find our voice and we use it to proclaim the name of a God who is always good and always near. We can sing, along with Cornelia Ten Boom and a congregation of stunned, teary-eyed witnesses,

“Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature
O thou of God and man the Son
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor
Thou, my soul’s glory, joy, and crown

Content 1 Tim 6:6 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Content 1 Tim 6:6  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

But godliness with contentment is great gain." (1 Timothy 6:6 KJV)

As believers, we know that true contentment does not come from our earthly possessions or circumstances, but from Christ alone. Yet how often do we find ourselves discontent, grumbling and complaining about our lot in life?

When adversity strikes, when plans unravel, when discomfort abounds, our natural reaction is frustration and discontentment. But Scripture urges us to adopt a different perspective. The apostle Paul wrote, “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” (Philippians 4:11 KJV) Though Paul endured beatings, imprisonment and shipwrecks, he maintained a spirit of contentment, knowing that his true treasure was in heaven.

As citizens of God’s kingdom, we can experience contentment despite our circumstances. When hardship comes, we can say with conviction, “The Lord is my helper, I will not fear.” (Hebrews 13:6 KJV) When plans shatter, we can say with faith, “Thy will be done.” When want seems near, we can say with assurance, “My God shall supply all your need.” (Philippians 4:19 KJV)

True contentment is not circumstantial, but spiritual. It springs from a heart rested in the loving sovereignty of God. It believes the promise, “All things work together for good to them that love God.” (Romans 8:28 KJV) Therefore, may we set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2 KJV) As we abide in Christ, we can experience godly contentment regardless of our earthly circumstances.

What We Need Matt 6:8 #Nightlight #RTTBROSAdrian Rogers

What We Need Matt 6:8  #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Adrian Rogers

God Always Answers with What We Need
“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.”
MATTHEW 6:8

Ponder This
Have you ever asked God for something and didn’t get it, but later your eyes were opened and you thanked God for that unanswered prayer? This is a silly illustration, but when I was a kid, I saw an old car that was being sold for $125, and I prayed for God to give me the money to get it. God didn’t answer my prayer. Somebody else got that car, the motor fell out of it, and I had to thank God that He did not answer that prayer. You see, prayer may be specifically denied. It may be strategically delayed, and it may be significantly different than you expected.

On a more serious note, I once fasted and prayed for something and did not receive an answer from God. One day, God spoke to me. He said, “Adrian, I heard your prayer a long time ago. You’re asking me to do something that I’m not going to do. You’re asking me to reach in and change somebody’s heart against that person’s will, and I don’t operate that way. But Adrian, I know the need of your heart. I know what you want. I know what you need. And your prayer is heard.” As I look back, I see how clear that was and how great our God is. If God doesn’t give us what we ask, He will give us something better and sweeter than we ask, if we ask Him in the wonderful name of Jesus.

*When in your life have you wrestled with unanswered prayers?
*Who can you remind of God’s love and of His ability and faithfulness to answer prayer?

Practice This
*Encourage someone you know who is wrestling with unanswered prayer. Ask your friend how he or she is doing and really listen. Then remind that person that God hears and will do exactly what is needed!

Sheltered Nahum 1:7 #Nightlight #RTTBRO

Sheltered Nahum 1:7 #Nightlight #RTTBROS
“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Nahum 1:7

Hard times will come, but God is our stronghold, as Adrian Rogers declared: “Regardless of how steep the cliff, how sharp the thorns, or how dark the valley, our faithful Lord is walking with us every step of the way.” We can trust God to uphold us in every trouble

As we start a new day, let us rejoice and be glad in it, for this is the day the Lord has made. "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24 KJV). God is inviting us to partner with Him to make this day count for eternity. As Max Lucado reminds us, "God's desire is to be your stronghold and your peace. He has strategically placed you where you are to reflect his wonderful light."

When challenges arise, let us not despair but remember God is still on the throne. As the late preacher J. Vernon McGee said, "Don’t forget that God not only reigns, but He overrules. He is able to take that which seems to be a defeat and turn it into a victory." We can have hope no matter our circumstances. "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance" (Psalm 42:5 KJV).

God sees all we are facing today and cares deeply. "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1 Peter 5:7 KJV). Max Lucado reminds us of God's tender love: “He will calm your storms and guide your ship to the harbor. Give him the sails of your heart and let him chart the course.” Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, our faithful Friend.

Even in the valley of the shadow of death, God is with us, as the great preacher Charles Spurgeon proclaimed: “Do not despair because the enemy seems to have power over you...Though darkness surrounds you, the darkness cannot shut Him out." We have no need to fear. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4 KJV).

As we close in prayer, thank You Father for being with us and for giving us the victory through Christ Jesus. "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV). May we walk in faith and perseverance throughout this day.

I Adulted by Dr. Paul Chappell #nightlight #RTTBROS

I Adulted by Dr. Paul Chappell #nightlight #RTTBROS

"I Adulted"
by Dr. Paul Chappell

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

1 Corinthians 3:1-3

Every year new words come into the language to explain or identify trends and changes in society. One of the relatively recent new words is “adulting.” It is used mostly by young adults to identify ways in which they are acting grown up and responsible. You can even buy “I Adulted” wall calendars. Each one comes with stickers you can place on different dates to mark these events. Some of the stickers that come with the calendar are: I paid a bill on time, I cooked a meal, I kept a secret, I took a shower, I did the laundry, I put away my phone, I matched my socks, and I only took one selfie. The idea of celebrating such things as milestones strikes most Baby Boomers as immature. That's what we were taught to do growing up, and that's what we do everyday—even without getting a sticker for it.

But spiritual adulthood is something that should be cultivated and celebrated. We are not meant to remain as baby Christians. We are commanded to grow and mature and become more like Jesus. It is shameful for someone who has been saved for years to still be a childish Christian. “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat” (Hebrews 5:12). Our world desperately needs Christian men and women who are full grown adults in their faith to stand against the rising tide of evil around us.

Today's Growth Principle:
If we devote our hearts and minds to the Word of God and prayer, our faith will strengthen and grow.

The Light in the Room#RTTBROS #nightlight

The Light in the Room
#RTTBROS #nightlight
" that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." (Proverbs 18:24)

When some enter a room, they seek to draw all attention to themselves by declaring "Here I am!" But the wise focus not on themselves, but on others. They look into the eyes of friends old and new and rejoice, "There you are!"

This outward focus fills a room with light. It builds bonds of fellowship and kindles love between kindred spirits. The glow from such a heart warms all it touches, making the greatest difference in a cold world. For when we truly see and appreciate others, we reflect the light of heaven.

The humble care more about connecting than collecting praise. They'd rather build up than showboat. And their reward is rich fellowship and deep joy, for in shining light on others, their own path is lit.

What a profound impact when we turn our gaze from mirrors to windows - from me to thee! The light we let into our hearts is the light we let out. May we live with eyes wide open to see and appreciate the gifts in others. For by truly seeing people, we walk in the light.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

Power Or Prison PS. 27:1 Isa 26:3 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Power Or Prison PS. 27:1 Isa 26:3 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Your Perspective is your Power or your Prison":

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 KJV)

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isaiah 26:3 KJV)

Our perspective shapes our reality. The way we view a situation or circumstance determines whether it will empower or imprison us. As John Maxwell says, "Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude." When we see life through the lens of faith in God, we gain an uplifted perspective.

With God as our light and salvation, we have no need to fear. When our minds stay fixed on Him, we have perfect peace regardless of the storms around us. His presence lifts us above the waves of worry and doubt. The Lord gives us strength, courage and stability when we trust in Him.

Even in the darkest valleys, we can rejoice that God remains sovereign. He walks with us through every challenge. As Chuck Swindoll encourages, "We must view life through the windshield, not the rearview mirror." The past is gone, the future unwritten. This moment is a gift, and our perspective determines whether we embrace it in fear or faith.

Our minds are powerful tools. What we focus on expands. By choosing gratitude and praise, we break free from victim mentality and limitations. God promises to renew our minds and transform our perspectives (Romans 12:2). Freedom comes when we fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Lord Jesus, lift our eyes beyond the seen realm. Empower us to view life through the vision of faith, hope and love You give. Transform our perspectives so that we use our minds to bless others, walk in peace, and stay rooted in Your joy. Amen.

Laying Down Our Burdens PS. 55:22 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Laying Down Our Burdens PS. 55:22 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Laying Down Our Burdens

"As a camel kneels before his master to have him remove his burden at the end of the day, so kneel each night and let the Master take your burden." This quote by Corrie ten Boom beautifully captures how we can lay our burdens at the feet of Jesus each night. Just as a camel is relieved when its heavy load is removed, we too can feel the weight lifted when we give our cares and worries to God.

"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22 KJV) This verse reminds us that we don't have to carry our burdens alone. God wants us to cast them on Him because He cares for us. He will sustain and uphold us when we feel weary and overwhelmed.

Too often we try to fix everything ourselves and end up anxious and sleepless as our minds race. But God never intended for us to carry it all ourselves. He wants us to learn to kneel in prayer and surrender it to Him, trusting that He is in control. As we kneel humbly before God and lay down the things that are weighing us down, we can experience His peace that passes understanding.

What burdens do you need to lay down tonight? Is there a relationship that is causing you turmoil? Do you need to release your frustration over a situation at work? Are you feeling anxious about the future? Take it all to the Lord in prayer. Pour out your heart to Him and then leave those burdens at the cross. You may need to consciously surrender them day after day, but keep taking them back to God until you experience release.

Just as a camel's master lovingly removes the heavy loads, your Heavenly Father wants to unload the burdens of your heart. He longs to give you rest. As you kneel in His presence, feel His peace begin to surround you. Let Him lift those weights and give you freedom. You don't have to carry them anymore.

Meet Laban Gal 6:7 #Nightlight #RTTBROSOver and Over We Meet Our Laban

Meet Laban Gal 6:7  #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Over and Over We Meet Our Laban

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Galatians 6:7, KJV)

My friend, life has a way of coming full circle. The difficult people we try to escape have a way of finding us again. Just ask Jacob. He fled from his deceitful uncle Laban, only to have Laban chase him down. For you cannot outrun the harvest you have sown.

Jacob deceived his father and stole his brother's blessing. Years later, his uncle Laban tricked him into marrying the wrong woman. Jacob reaped deception for the deception he had sown. Yet God was not done teaching Jacob this lesson. Even after fleeing from Laban, he was confronted by him again.

What we sow, we will surely reap. The lies we tell will be repaid with lies told against us. The cheating we do will come back in the form of cheating done to us. As sure as day follows night, our actions - good or bad - set in motion a harvest.

So if life has brought you back around to the same difficult relationships, do not be surprised. Consider it a divine appointment, an opportunity to break free from an endless cycle of sowing and reaping. Make the choice not to retaliate. Break the chain. Stop sowing the wind, lest you keep reaping the whirlwind.

Change Acts 9:20-22 #Nightlight #RTTBROSChange by Dr. Paul Chappell

Change Acts 9:20-22  #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Change by Dr. Paul Chappell

And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.

Acts 9:20-22

The life of John Newton underwent a remarkable transformation. The man who had once been a slave trader became a leading advocate for the abolition of slavery. The man who had been profane and had no time for God became a leading preacher. Newton wrote, “I am not what I might be, I am not what I ought to be, I am not what I wish to be, I am not what I hope to be. But I thank God I am not what I once was, and I can say with the great apostle, 'By the grace of God I am what I am.'”

Some of us, especially those who were saved at a young age, do not have a testimony of such radical outward change as Newton's, but everyone who has trusted Christ as Saviour should be marked by a new purpose in life. Where Saul had once led the persecution of the church, after he met Jesus on the road to Damascus, he became a powerful and effective preacher. Those who heard him in those early days did not understand how that change had come about, but that is what Jesus does.

We are not saved for our own benefit, although we do benefit greatly. We are saved to be part of God's work in this world. We are saved to tell others about the grace we found. We are saved to be different than we were before. The same God who saves us equips and empowers us for effective ministry for Him throughout our lives.

Today's Growth Principle:
God powerfully transforms the lives of everyone who trusts Him for salvation.

Listening Impaired Rom 8:14 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Listening Impaired Rom 8:14 #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Listening Impaired

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 8:14 KJV). As children of God, we have the incredible privilege of being led by His Holy Spirit. When we accept Christ, the Spirit comes to dwell within us, to guide, convict, and shape us into the image of Jesus.

Yet this guiding is gentle, not forceful. As Adrian Rogers says, “The Holy Spirit leads you but He never drives you.” He points us to truth, but doesn’t push. He convicts us of sin, but doesn’t condemn. As Lucado notes, “The Spirit bids the bumblebee come to the flower but does not drag it there.” We must listen and cooperate with His leading.

As one pastor points out, “A stride forward by the Spirit may take you down trails you never dreamed you could travel and toward joys you never thought possible.” When we let the Spirit guide, remarkable things happen. But we must take those steps, prompted by His still small voice.

This manifests daily when we choose prayer over worry, patience over anger, and love over selfishness. We know and grow through listening to the Spirit. Yet sometimes we ignore or dismiss His voice. We let busyness, laziness, or stubbornness crowd out time for the Spirit.

Let us have ears to hear.

We all need more of the Spirit’s guidance. When faced with decisions, let’s pray first. When convicted of sin, let’s repent. When prompted toward action, let’s obey. As we stay in step with the Spirit, He will lead us to life and purpose beyond our wildest dreams. May we faithfully follow His gentle leading all our days.

Choose How We Use Josh 24:15 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Choose How We Use Josh 24:15 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Choosing How We Use Technology

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15 KJV)

Technology can be used for good or evil. The internet and social media are powerful tools that can either draw us closer to God or pull us away from Him. As Christians, we must be intentional about how we use these technologies.

Will we use our time online to serve the Lord and make disciples? Or will we use it for mindless entertainment and hollow relationships? The choice is ours.

We can share the Gospel and biblical truth online. We can have meaningful conversations and build each other up in Christ. Or we can get lost in vapid memes, political rants, and the comparison game. How we steward our technology matters.

"Romans 12:2 KJV - 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Let's choose today to be digital missionaries! The harvest is plentiful. People from all over the world are just a click away. God can use us powerfully if we submit our online lives to Him.

The Lost are waiting. The hurting need encouragement. Seekers desire truth. Will we rise to the occasion and serve the Lord online? I pray we all do.

Where Our Help Comes From PS. 121:1-2 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Where Our Help Comes From PS. 121:1-2 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Where Our Help Comes From

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2 (KJV)

As the psalmist looked up to the hills surrounding Jerusalem, he was reminded of an important truth: while the hills provided a sense of security and protection for the city, his ultimate help and deliverance came from the Lord. Though we may rely on people, plans, or possessions, none of these can offer the complete and eternal help that we find in God alone.

In times of trouble and uncertainty, it's easy to frantically look for help in different places. We seek help from friends or family, we make plans thinking our schemes will save us, we trust in our bank accounts believing our money will pull us through. But though these things may provide some assistance, our true help can only come from the Maker of heaven and earth. The hills will crumble, friends will fail, plans will falter, riches will fade. But God remains steadfast forever.

As Adrian Rogers said, "We have a tendency to look to the hills - to people, to governments, to medicines, to jobs. Yet ultimately, our help comes from the Lord." When chaos swirls around us, we can lift our eyes above the hills, above the turmoil, to the Lord who reigns over all. He is the solid rock on which we stand. He is the strong tower we can run to for refuge. He is the mighty fortress who shields us with His eternal power and protection.

The next time trouble comes your way, resist the urge to feverishly search for help in temporary places. Look instead to the eternal God who created the heavens and the earth. Seek His strength, wisdom, and peace that transcends all understanding. He promises to be our ever-present help in times of need. He alone can provide the hope, security, and deliverance our soul longs for.  As Max Lucado says, "On our knees, we find the heights of promotion." Through prayer and trust in Him, the Lord will lift us up and carry us through the storms of life. Our help comes from the maker of heaven and earth.

The Growth Gap Gal 6:7 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Growth Gap Gal 6:7 #Nightlight #RTTBROS
The Growth Gap

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Galatians 6:7 KJV

In Galatians 6, Paul teaches an important principle - we reap what we sow. If we sow sin and disobedience, we will reap corruption. But if we sow righteousness and obedience to God, we will reap eternal life. This principle applies in all areas of life.
There is often a gap between when we sow and when we reap. Farmers understand this from planting crops. There are months between planting seeds and harvesting fruit. This gap can deceive us. When we first sow seeds of sin, we may think we "got away with it" if no consequences appear immediately. But the harvest of judgment will certainly come in God's timing.

Likewise, when we first sow righteousness, we may wonder why we do not immediately reap good things. But there is a gap - a growth and maturation process - before spiritual fruits ripen. We must patiently persist in doing good works and serving God, trusting He will bless us in due time.

The growth gap is a gracious period given by God to repent and change direction if we have sown sin. It is also a season to persevere in righteous living until we reap the harvest of blessing. We must understand this gap and not lose hope or tire of doing good.

What seeds are you sowing each day in your life? Are you sowing to please your fleshly desires, or are you sowing to please the Holy Spirit? The harvest you will one day reap depends on what you are sowing now. Sow righteousness and you will reap eternal life!

Lord, help me to sow spiritual seeds each day through obedience, faith and good works. Produce in me the fruit of righteousness. Give me patience to endure the growth gap, never wavering until the harvest of blessing comes. I trust you to bring the harvest in due season as I sow righteousness by your Spirit.

One Thing Ps 136:6 #Nightlight #RTTBROS "Give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." (Psalm 136:1 KJV)

One Thing Ps 136:6 #Nightlight #RTTBROS
"Give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." (Psalm 136:1 KJV)
Gratitude is 1a powerful attitude that can transform our lives. When we take time to reflect on God's blessings and all that He has done for us, it cultivates a spirit of thankfulness within us. This thankfulness then overflows into how we view each day - not as an entitlement, but as a gift.

Each morning when we rise, we can begin by giving thanks to God for the gift of a new day. As we go about our daily tasks, we can remain mindful of even the smallest blessings like health, family, friends, food, and shelter. At day's end as we lay down to sleep, we can again give thanks for God's hand of protection and provision throughout the hours.

Living with gratitude keeps our focus on the Giver rather than the gifts alone. It helps guard our hearts from feelings of entitlement, dissatisfaction, and complaining. Instead of focusing on what we don't have, gratitude shifts our focus to all that we do have - which is always more than we could ever deserve.

The Bible reminds us that apart from God, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Every breath, talent, and opportunity comes only by His grace. When we remember this, gratitude leads us to a place of humility, joy, and peace. It causes our souls to magnify the Lord who is so good and worthy of all thanksgiving.

May we never take God's goodness for granted but maintain hearts overflowing with gratitude. As we lift our thanks continually to Him, He fills us with His enduring love and mercy each new day.

Facing and Fixing Isa 41:10 #nightlight #rttbros

Facing and Fixing Isa 41:10 #nightlight #rttbros

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." (Isaiah 41:10 KJV)

My friends, when we face trials and tribulations in this life, we can feel overwhelmed and afraid. But this verse reminds us that God is with us through it all. He gives us strength, help, and upholds us with His righteous right hand. What glorious promises!

First, God tells us "Fear thou not." No matter what we face, we do not need to be afraid. Why? Because the Lord of Hosts is with us! The God who crafted the cosmos is by our side, sustaining us each step of the way.

Second, He assures us "I will strengthen thee." When we feel weak and weary, God infuses us with supernatural strength by His Spirit. He renews our inner man day by day as we trust in Him. The joy of the Lord becomes our strength!

Finally, our Lord declares "I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." What a powerful image! Picture the nail-scarred hand of Jesus holding you up, keeping you from stumbling or falling. Righteousness Himself upholds you. Hallelujah!

My friends, whatever you face today, fix your eyes on Jesus. Trust in His presence, strength, and upholding hand. He will never leave you nor forsake you, for He has said "I am thy God." May we walk in His peace and power!

Delight Ps. 37:4 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Delight Ps. 37:4  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

"Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalm 37:4
Delighting ourselves in the Lord should be our utmost priority in life. When we find our joy, contentment, and satisfaction in God, amazing things happen. God shapes our hearts to long for the things that He desires. As we read His word, spend time in worship and prayer, and serve others in His name, our own selfish wants and wishes fade away. In their place arise new desires to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

Making God our delight is not always easy. The pleasures of this world constantly compete for our attention and affection. But when we exercise discipline and intentionally focus on the giver of all good gifts rather than the gifts themselves, our delight begins to shift. The more we behold the beauty and glory of Christ, the more our man-made idols lose their grip over our hearts.

As we delight in the Lord, He changes us from the inside out. The Spirit works through our delight to mold our desires into ones that align with God's will. What once seemed impossible becomes the cry of our hearts. When this transforming delight invades our lives, obedience ceases to be a burden but becomes a joy.

Our delight must be continuous, not just a passing fascination. Day by day, through spiritual disciplines, we stoke the fires of holy delight. And week by week, our desires shed more of the dirt of the world and take on the purity of Christ. When the Lord becomes our chief pleasure, He fills our hearts with passions after His own interests. Delight yourself in the Lord today!

Free From Sin 1 John1:9 #Nightlight #RTTBROS1 John 1:9 KJVS -

Free From Sin 1 John1:9 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

1 John 1:9 KJVS - 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Sin entangles us all. Whether it's a harsh word spoken in anger, a lie told to cover up wrongdoing, or an addiction that controls our lives, we have all fallen short of God's standards. Guilt and shame can weigh heavily when we realize the depth of our sin. But praise God - forgiveness is available!

As 1 John 1:9 reminds us, when we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. What glorious news! No matter what we've done, God is ready and willing to wipe the slate clean when we come to Him in repentance.

Consider King David after his grievous sins of adultery and murder. In Psalm 51 we read his raw, honest prayer of confession. David threw himself on God's mercy, not glossing over his failings but owning his guilt. And God responded with complete forgiveness and restoration.

The same is true for us today. Just as darkness flees when light shines, confession of sin makes way for God's cleansing forgiveness. When we walk in the light with Him, the blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin.

God knows our frame, that we are but dust. He is eager to lift shame and renew us when we turn to Him. As Adrian Rogers said, "The devil says you’re guilty and God says you’re free, now whom are you going to believe?" Believe in God's incredible grace. Bring your failures to the foot of the cross. Receive God's gift of redemption and walk in freedom.

The Open Door Rev 3:7-13 #Nightlight #RTTBROS #RevelationRevealed RR11

The Open Door  Rev 3:7-13  #Nightlight #RTTBROS #RevelationRevealed RR11
The Open Door

"Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it." Revelation 3:8 (KJV)

The church in Philadelphia was promised an open door that no one could shut. What a liberating thought! This open door represents opportunity - a chance to spread the gospel and make disciples. Too often we feel hemmed in by obstacles, but God promises open doors to those who remain faithful.

Let's walk through that open door with excitement! It may lead to unfamiliar places and challenging situations, but we have God's assurance that the door will not close behind us. When we step out in faith, believing in God's promises, He will keep that doorway clear.

Be on the lookout today for open doors in your life. It may come through a new relationship that allows you to share Christ's love. Or an opportunity to serve those in need. God delights in opening just the right door at just the right time.

We don't know what's coming through that door. It may lead to trials that test our faith. But we do know the One who opened it. He is the same One who conquered death and shut the door on the grave. Because of His resurrection power, we can have boldness to walk through every open door He provides.

Just remember, the open door swings both ways. As we walk through it to join God in His work, we must also allow God to access every room in our hearts. Is there a locked closet of sin that needs opened up to His cleansing light? As we allow Him free reign, He is able to open doors for us to bless others.

May we live with open hands, open hearts, and eyes wide open to the doors God is opening. The opportunities are endless for those who trust in the faithful and true One. He opens doors that no one can shut.
