God Knows Everything Daniel 2:27-29 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

 God Knows Everything Daniel 2:27-29  #Nightlight #RTTBROS
God Knows Everything
by Dr. Paul Chappell

Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king; But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.  Daniel 2:27-29

In 2000, as part of their bicentennial celebration, the Library of Congress launched a special project. After the original library was burned by the British during the War of 1812, Congress purchased nearly 6,500 books from Thomas Jefferson's personal collection. Many of those books were destroyed in another fire in 1851. So the Library of Congress began searching for copies of all those books that had been lost in an effort to complete the restoration project. Many of them were rare and very difficult to find. Imagine how hard it must have been for Jefferson to collect them all. In our day we take the availability of knowledge for granted and expect to be able to look up any detail that we need to know almost instantly.

Yet despite the vast increase in information we see in our day, there is no corresponding increase in wisdom or understanding. That is because those come from God. Daniel pointed out to Nebuchadnezzar that the only reason he was able to interpret his dream was because God had revealed it to him. Remember, Daniel was not working from what Nebuchadnezzar told him—the king couldn't remember the dream. Only God could tell Daniel both what the dream was and what it meant. As our society works harder and harder to undermine the truth, it is more important than ever for us to seek the wisdom only God provides. He is the source of truth, His truth never fails.

Today's Growth Principle:
God offers to us all of the knowledge and wisdom we need to live rightly and glorify Him.

Staying Close To God Ps. 119:105 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Staying Close To God Ps. 119:105 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Psalm 119:105 KJVS - 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path

This verse reminds us that the Word of God is a guide that illuminates our path and helps us see details we would miss otherwise. The Word of God is like a light that shines in the darkness and helps us discern what is right and wrong. When we read the Bible, we are able to see things from God's perspective and gain wisdom and understanding.

Developing discernment through the Word of God requires us to read the Bible regularly and meditate on its teachings. We must be willing to listen to what God is saying to us through His Word and apply it to our lives. As we do this, we will begin to see things more clearly and make better decisions. The Holy Spirit will guide us as we read the Bible and help us understand what it means for our lives.

Prayer is also an important part of developing discernment. When we pray, we are able to connect with the Holy Spirit who guides us each day. We can ask for wisdom and understanding as we read the Bible and seek God's will for our lives. Prayer helps us stay close to God and allows us to hear His voice more clearly. As we develop discernment through the Word of God and prayer, we will be better equipped to navigate the challenges of life and make wise decisions.

Satan's Startegy 2 Cor 2:11 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Satan's Startegy 2 Cor 2:11 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Satanic Strategies
1. Deception.  Satan is the father of Lies he uses deception and whispers lies to us all the time.
2. Distraction.  He trys to use the cares of this world to keep us focused on anything but God.
3. Division. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places, out real enemy is spiritual not physical.
4. Discouragement. He will do everything in his power to wear you down through prolonged attack.  He will attack on multiple fronts all at the same time.  Hoping to cause you to quit.

Here is a devotion on understanding the strategies or devices of Satan in spiritual warfare written by Max Lucado:

> "Satan’s strategies are all aimed at trying to kill, steal, and destroy us. Satan hates us. He hates God. His hatred is manifested through his schemes to destroy God’s people. Satan will use every tactic possible to get our focus off of the Lord and onto ourselves. One of Satan’s greatest tools is deception."

> "When we worship, we do what Satan did not do – we place God on the throne. When we pick up the sword of Scripture, we do what Jesus did in the wilderness. He responded to Satan by proclaiming truth. And since Satan has a severe allergy to truth, he left Jesus alone. Satan will not linger long where God is praised and prayers are offered."

> "Don’t fault the plunging economy or a raging dictator for your anxiety. They’re simply tools in Satan’s tool kit. We can’t understand God’s narrative without understanding Satan’s strategy."

> "God calls the devil by name and promises to defeat him. Be alert to the devil, and be assured his days are numbered."

Rearview Mirror Ps. 107 8-9 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Rearview Mirror Ps. 107 8-9 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Psalm 107:8-9 (KJV)** "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."
Ray Harroun came out of retirement to race in the first Indianapolis 500 in 1911. In those days, every race car had a passenger – a mechanic to check oil pressure throughout the race and provide constant updates on changing conditions. Ray decided to race without the mechanic. Instead, he installed a rearview mirror in his car – and this was the first recorded instance of such a thing. Controversy filled the air, but eventually, they decided this wasn’t a violation of the rules. In the end, Ray won the race at an average speed of  miles an hour.

Looking back at Ray Harroun's story, we can see how God's goodness is evident in our lives. The Bible says in Psalm 107:8-9 (KJV) "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." Just like Ray Harroun's decision to install a rearview mirror changed racing forever, God's goodness can change our lives forever if we trust Him.

We can look back at our lives and see how God has been faithful to us even when we didn't deserve it. We can see how He has provided for us, protected us, and guided us through difficult times. We can see how He has given us hope when we felt hopeless and strength when we felt weak. We can praise Him for His goodness and trust that He will continue to work in our lives for our good and His glory.

The Sword Eph 6:14-17 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Sword Eph 6:14-17    #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Pick Up the Sword by Paul Chappell

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:14-17

The Bible makes it clear that the Christian life is a battle. We are exhorted to be on guard, attentive, and prepared for the attacks of the enemy. We are warned of the dangers of overconfidence and thinking we are above being defeated. "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall" (1 Corinthians 10:12). It is important to remember that our struggle is not merely defensive. In addition to putting on armor to protect us from spiritual attacks, we are called to take up a weapon to take the fight to the enemy, and that weapon is the Bible.

Charles Spurgeon wrote. "This weapon is good at all points, good for defense and for attack, to guard our whole person or to strike through the joints and marrow of the foe. Like the seraph's sword at Eden's gate, it turns every way. You cannot be in a condition that the Word of God has not provided. The Word has as many faces and eyes as providence itself. You will find it unfailing in all periods of your life, in all circumstances. in all companies, in all trials, and under all difficulties. Were it fallible, it would be useless in emergencies, but its unerring truth renders it precious beyond all price to the soldiers of the cross."

Just as a soldier is put through training to become familiar with his weapon before being sent into battle, we need to be filling our hearts and minds with the Word of God. We need to know what it says, and know how it applies to the situations in which we find ourselves.

Today's Growth Principle:

Knowing and using God's Word is the way to living in victory throughout the Christian

life.

Answered Prayer #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Answered Prayer    #Nightlight #RTTBROS
ANSWERED PRAYER

F.B. Meyer
"If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you."-- John 15:7.

OUR LORD expected answers to His prayers, and in all His teaching He leads us to feel that we shall be able to obtain, through prayer, what otherwise would not come to our hand. He knew all that was to be known of natural law; but notwithstanding His perfect acquaintance with the mysteries of His Father's government, He said: "If ye shall ask anything of the Father, He will give it you in My Name."

When we consider the lives of some who have wrought mightily for God, it is clear that they learned a secret which eludes many of us. This is from the biography of Dr. Burns Thomson: "When much together as students," writes his friend, "we agreed on special petitions, and the Lord encouraged us by giving us answers, so early and so definite, as could only have come from Himself, so that no room was left for the shadow of doubt that God was the Hearer and Answerer of prayer. Once the answer came the same day, and at another time whilst we were yet speaking. My friend often spoke of our agreement, to the glory of Him who fulfilled to us His promise; and I refer to it to encourage others." This is but one leaf out of the great library of prayers, intercessions, and supplications, which stand recorded before God.

Prayer which is to prevail must be: For the glory of the Father. Whatever petition we offer must be tested by this thought: will it be for the glory of God? It is for this that our Saviour lives and pleads (John 14:13).

It must be in Christ's Name, which stands for Nature. In other words, when we pray it must not be as our self-nature but as the Christ-nature indicates. It is not enough to mention His Name at the end of our prayer: His Spirit must pervade every petition.

We must bear fruit (John 15:16). Answers to prayer largely depend on our ministry to others. If we are living for the accomplishment of God's purpose and the coming of His Kingdom, we may ask whatever is necessary for the achievement of our endeavour.

We must abide in Christ; then the sap of the Holy Spirit rising from the hidden root will produce desires and petitions like those which Christ ever presents to His Father (John 15:7).

Habit Trails #Nightlight #RTTBROSHabit Trails of the Soul

Habit Trails   #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Habit Trails of the Soul

by Tony Beckett and Woodrow Kroll

1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Col 3:1‭-‬2 KJV

Show me three things and I can probably tell what is important to you: your checkbook, your calendar and your home. The first will show me what you do with your money, the things that you value enough to spend your earnings attaining. The second will show me what you do with your time, that in spite of how busy you might be, these are things for which you still find time. The third will show me your interests. Items accumulated or displayed, even the books and magazine on a coffee table, can reveal your interests.

The things that we devote time and money to have captured our minds and our hearts. Thinking about and being involved in those things results in habit trails developing in our souls. We just seem to keep returning to those thoughts, those things.

First and foremost in our habit trails needs to be the things of God, the things of above. Paul tells us to set both our hearts and minds on things above. It is easier, more natural, to think about and love earthly things. After all, we can see them, hold them, collect them--love and think about them. Yet that is exactly what we are to do with the things of God--love and think about them, not totally to the exclusion of other things, but with a priority.

As we discipline our hearts and minds to fall in love with and think about what God teaches us from His Word, this will happen. Consider your habit trails. Are they of things above or below?

A good first step is Bible memory. Memorize Colossians 3:1-2. Then ask God to help you develop heavenly habit trails.

Inheritance #Nightlight #RTTBROSColossians 3:23-24

Inheritance  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Colossians 3:23-24 KJVS - 23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ

Dr. Paul Chappell writes about Barbara Hutton, who lost her mother when she was just six years old, and her workaholic father had little time for his daughter. On her twenty-first birthday, the heir to the Woolworth fortune received an inheritance of $50 million—worth nearly $1 billion in today's money. She spent freely, hosting lavish parties and buying expensive jewelry and clothes. In her search for happiness, she married seven times. By the time of her death, the woman the newspapers dubbed “the poor little rich girl” was almost bankrupt. She received a huge inheritance, but it did not bring her joy, nor did it last.

The inheritance we have been given as children of God is one that never fades away. When God places us into His family, we not only receive access to the abundant riches of His grace, but we are kept safe and secure, knowing that we will never lose the treasure He has imparted to us. Just as we do not save ourselves, we do not keep ourselves saved. It is His power that guarantees our security in Him. We go through trials and tribulations in this life, but nothing can shake the surety of what is to come. The great fortunes of this world frequently do not last. They can be dissipated by poor decisions or exhausted by economic reversals. Those who seek to find happiness or security in wealth can never be truly secure. But in Christ we have truly durable riches.
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Chosen And Placed Joh. 15:16 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Chosen And Placed Joh. 15:16 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

CHOSEN AND PLACED
"Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit."-- Joh 15:16.

WE DID not choose Him--there we have the evil of the human heart, the film of blindness which sin casts on the sight, the deafness with which it dulls the ear. For to have missed Jesus, to pass Him by, is as though the pearl-hunter were unable to recognize the pearl of greatest price; or the mother to recognize her own babe; or the seeker after the holy grail to fail to discover its mystic sheen!

"But I chose you." He chose us probably because we were useless and helpless, and He wanted to show what supreme miracles His grace could achieve. The prophet says that the branches of the vine are more useless than any others (Eze 16:1-5). The principle of God's choice is to take what all others reject--the fire-brand plucked from the burning, the feebly-smoking tow, the bruised reed; the younger sons, the halt and lame, the last and least; the things that are foolish, despised, and weak--these are God's choice, that He may bring to nought things that are, that no flesh may glory in His presence.

There was no error in the foreknowledge which preceded our election. God knew all that we were, all that we should be. He foresaw our down-sittings, our hours of depression, our obstinacy, our wanderings into the far country, but He swerved not. Having chosen us, He is going to justify His choice, unless we definitely refuse to let Him have his way.

"'And appointed you.'" Our Master has placed us just where we are, that He might have a suitable outlet for His abundant life, which He longs to pour forth upon the world. Do not repine or murmur at your lot in life, but remember that He has appointed and placed you there. As the branch is nailed to the wall that it may cover it with foliage and fruit, so Christ has placed you where you are. That inevitable circumstance is the rough piece of cloth, that sorrow is the nail, that pain the restraint such as He suffered on the Cross.

"That ye should go." "Whither, Master? .... Into all the world, as My disciples! I have chosen you out of it and now I send you back as My representatives, through whom I may pour out My life and love. Go and bear fruit!"

PRAYER

O Heavenly Master, enable us by Thy grace to fill the opportunity, and do the work that Thou hast assigned. May we not murmur or complain because our place is obscure and the time long, but bear much fruit for Thy glory. AMEN

The Fathers Voice Jn 10:2-5 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Fathers Voice  Jn 10:2-5 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.  3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers John 10:2-5

Kristina Tieken writes " Comedian Michael Jr. makes people laugh for a living, but what happened in the delivery room with his newborn daughter was no laughing matter - it was a heartwarming event.

Studies have shown that babies can recognize a mother’s voice from the womb. Michael’s video shows the great power in a father’s voice as well.

After his baby, Portland, was delivered, Michael greeted his wailing child with a calm voice. His soothing tones and words of comfort stopped her cries as she listened. While the nurse attended to Portland's needs, Michael quieted down and she started to cry again.

When Michael told her “I love you,” she stopped crying and immediately opened her eyes as if she understood what those words meant

In reviewing the video, Michael Jr. couldn't help but be reminded of our relationship with God. He said people will have times when life is heavy and overwhelming, but they can find comfort in knowing they have a father that loves them.

“The key thing to do in those moments is be still and listen for the Father’s voice, because he is trying to talk to you … What he wants you to know is that he loves you. All you’ve got to do is open your eyes.”

A Crooked Stick #Nightlight #RTTBROSGenesis 50:20

A Crooked Stick   #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Genesis 50:20 KJVS - 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

I heard a preacher say " God can draw a straight line with a crooked stick." This means that God can take evil meant to destroy and use it for a redemtive purpose.

God brought good from the brothers’ evil deed, Potiphar’s wife’s false accusation, the cup-bearer’s neglect, and seven years of famine. The experiences in Joseph’s life taught him that God brings good from evil for those who trust him. Do you trust God enough to wait patiently for him to bring good out of bad situations? You can trust him because, as Joseph learned, God can overrule people’s evil intentions to bring about his intended results.

Some other lives that demonstrate this principle would be Daniel and his friends they were taken into captivity and face Nǹnnnall manner of attacks and persecution. Yet out of thier lives we are encouraged to stand strong in the face of a Christless culture.

What "Crooked stick in your current experiance is God redeeming for His eternal glory?

Back Together Again Jer 17:14 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Back Together Again Jer 17:14  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Jeremiah 17:14 KJVS - 14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise

The Humpty Dumpty poem is a great illustration of how we can call on all kinds of human help but they may let us down. In the end, all the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again. But what if someone had called the King? In Jeremiah 17:14  is also translated "God, pick up the pieces. Put me back together again. You are my praise!" This verse reminds us that when we call on God, The King Of Kings for help, He can put us back together again.

When we are broken and in need of help, we can call on God to pick up the pieces and put us back together again.  God is there for us when we need Him. He can take our brokenness and make us whole again.

In  Hebrews 13:5-6 "for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." This verse reminds us that God is with us in our lives. When we call on Him for help, He can take our brokenness and use it for His glory. We don't have to be afaid.

One Eph 5:31-33 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

One Eph 5:31-33  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

One Eph 5:31-33 #NormanKissinger #NK #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Ephesians 5:31-33 KJV - 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman, ordained by God and modeled after Christ and the church. As the apostle Paul wrote, "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church" (Ephesians 5:31-32 KJV). When a husband and wife become one, they share not only their bodies, but also their minds, hearts, and souls. They are no longer two separate individuals, but one flesh in God's eyes.

However, becoming one does not mean losing one's identity or individuality. It means complementing each other, supporting each other, and loving each other as Christ loved the church. It means respecting each other's roles, gifts, and personalities, and honoring each other as heirs of God's grace. It means communicating honestly, forgiving generously, and serving humbly. It means growing together in faith, hope, and love.

Becoming one also does not mean having a perfect or problem-free marriage. It means facing the challenges of life together as a team, with God as the captain. It means not giving up when things get tough, but trusting God to provide a way out. It means not letting the big events overshadow the small moments, but cherishing every day as a gift from God. It means not letting the enemy divide what God has joined together, but resisting him with the power of God's word and prayer.

"ANYTHING BUT PRAYER" 1 Thess 5:17-22 #NormanKissinger #NK #Nightlight #RTTBROS

"ANYTHING BUT PRAYER"  1 Thess 5:17-22 #NormanKissinger #NK   #Nightlight #RTTBROS

1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 KJV - 16 Rejoice evermore.17 Pray without ceasing.18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.19 Quench not the Spirit.20 Despise not prophesyings.21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.22 Abstain from all appearance of evil

Prayer is indeed a powerful tool that we can use to communicate with God. According to Adrian Rogers, "Prayer is not just getting ready for Christian service. Prayer is Christian service"

It is true that Satan wants more than anything to stop us from praying. This is because he knows that prayer is one of the most powerful weapons we have against him. When we pray, we are inviting God into our lives and asking Him to work on our behalf. This is why it is so important to pray without ceasing ³.

Tracking our prayers in a systematic way can be a great way to see how God is moving in our lives. When we see how God is answering our prayers, it can be a great encouragement to pray more and trust Him more. As Adrian Rogers said, "When we track our prayers in some systematic way, we begin to see and be reminded that God is moving in a profound way on our behalf which will cause us to pray more and God to move more which unleashes God's power and program in a fresh powerful way

Peacefully Sleep Psalms 4:8 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Peacefully Sleep Psalms 4:8   #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Psalm 4:8 KJV - 8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
From Chuck Swindoll
"Peaceful sleep is a gift from God. It is one of the most refreshing and renewing experiences of life. It is also one of the most elusive and least understood. The psalmist David knew the value of peaceful sleep. He wrote, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8 KJV). David’s words reveal his confidence in God’s protection. He knew that God was his only source of safety and security."

"David’s words also reveal his trust in God’s sovereignty. He knew that God was in control of his life and that he could rest in God’s care. David’s confidence in God’s protection and sovereignty enabled him to sleep peacefully even when he was facing danger and uncertainty. His words are a reminder that we too can rest in God’s care and protection."

"Are you struggling with fear or anxiety? Are you facing danger or uncertainty? Remember David’s words and trust in God’s protection and sovereignty. Rest in the knowledge that God is your only source of safety and security. Sleep peacefully knowing that God is in control of your life."

Our Eyes Are Upon Thee 2 Chron 20;12 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Our Eyes Are Upon Thee 2 Chron 20;12   #Nightlight #RTTBROS

2 Chronicles 20:12 KJV - ....we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee

Here is a quote from Max Lucado.
“Trusting God with the dire situation, the king said, “Our eyes are on You” (2 Chronicles 20:12). When you encounter trouble and distress and don’t know what to do, remember this moment in Jehoshaphat’s life, and fix your eyes on your mighty God.

A quote from  Robert Morgan.
“Whenever I haven’t known what to do, I’ve just tried to do what comes next.” Robert J Morgan.

“Doing the next right thing is good advice, but it didn’t sink in for me fully until I started noticing it in the Gospels. So often, right after Jesus performed a miracle, he gave a simple next thing to do.”. Robert J. Morgan.

Brick House 1 Peter 2:5 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Brick House 1 Peter 2:5 KJV - 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Brick House
The Bible tells us that we are like living stones being built up into a spiritual house. Each of us is like a brick that is being placed in the right spot to build a strong and sturdy house. But what makes a house strong isn’t just the strength of the individual bricks. It’s also the interconnectedness of each brick. Each brick supports and connects to the immediate bricks around it. And because of that, we have a strong brick house.

In the same way, we are not meant to live our lives alone. We are meant to be connected to others in our community of faith. We are meant to support one another and build each other up. When we do this, we become part of something bigger than ourselves. We become part of the spiritual house that God is building.

So let us remember that we are not alone in this journey of faith. Let us remember that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. And let us continue to build each other up so that we can be a strong and sturdy house for God’s glory.

Walking In The Spirit Gal 5:16-18 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Walk In The Spirit  Gal 5:16-18 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Galatians 5:16-18 KJV - 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Adrian Rogers Said "
Ponder this to “walk in the Spirit” means the Spirit is to be the circumference of my walk. If I said to you, “Walk in this building.” That means you are supposed to stay in this building. This building is the parameter, the circumference, the environment, and the element in which you walk. If you step outside this building, you’re not walking in this building."

Adrian Rogers was right when he said that walking in the Spirit means that the Spirit is to be the circumference of our walk. The Holy Spirit is not just a part of our lives; He is our life. He is not just a guide; He is our guide. He is not just a helper; He is our helper. He is not just a comforter; He is our comforter.

When we walk in the Spirit, we are walking in the environment of God’s presence. We are walking in the element of His power. We are walking in the circumference of His love. And when we step outside of that environment, we are no longer walking in the Spirit. We are walking in the flesh

My Defence Ps. 62:1-2 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

My Defence Ps. 62:1-2 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Psalm 62:1-2 KJV reads "Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved."

This passage is a reminder that we should trust in God and wait patiently for Him to act on our behalf. It is a call to put our faith in God alone and not in anything else. In today’s world, it is easy to get caught up in the things of this world and forget that our true hope and salvation come from God alone. We can be tempted to put our trust in money, power, or other people, but this passage reminds us that God is the only one who can truly save us.

As Christians, we can take comfort in knowing that God is our rock and our salvation. He is our defender and our refuge. When we face difficult times or when we are under attack, we can turn to Him for help and protection. We can trust that He will be with us always and that He will never leave us or forsake us.

For example, when we face financial difficulties, we can trust that God will provide for us. When we are struggling with health issues, we can trust that God for healing power.  When we are facing difficult relationships, we can trust that God will give us wisdom and guidance. Whatever challenges we face in life, we can turn to God and trust that He will be there for us.

Morning Is Coming Gen 1:15 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Morning Is Coming Gen 1:15 #Nightlight #RTTBROS
F.B Meyer

THE MORNING COMETH
"And the evening and the morning were the first day."-- Gen 1:5.

SIX TIMES these words are repeated, and the one lesson that rings out is that God counts His periods, not as man does from night to night, but from evening till morning. ' Not first the light, and after that the dark; but first the dark, and after that the light." God saw that each night would end in daylight, and that the end of all the nights and all the days would be the eternal day in which there can be no darkness at all. This is what St. John saw: "There shall be no night there, for the Lord God giveth them light" (Rev 22:5). The sun of materialism sets in a black ocean, unlit by the sar of hope. But as long as God is, we believe that He will make a new heaven and new earth; and from out of what seems disappointing and hopeless He will bring a fairer creation than before. Creation shall participate in the glorious liberty of the sons of God. Watchman what of the night? The morning cometh! The darkness will finally pass away before the radiance of the dawn, and this because God is God; He is Love and Light and His Word creates.

So it is with the individual. Life may be dark. Sin is darkness; sorrow is darkness; ignorance is darkness, and these three may be part of your daily lot. But the night is far spent, the day is at hand. For you the morning star is in the sky. The education of your soul is like that of a child at school. How hard and difficult those first days, but when the rudiments were mastered; when the discipline had played its part, then were reaped the harvests of sowing, and darkness was turned to day. Be of good cheer! Even in death there is nothing to fear. "That night they caught nothing; but when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore." The dark waves, as they break around the boat of your life, are bearing you onward to the morning meal upon the golden sands, where you will find that Love has gone before you with its preparations! It shall be evening and morning and lo! the day without night.

PRAYER

O God, the darkness and light are both alike to Thee, and the night shineth as the day. Help us to follow Thee even through the valley of the shadow, and to trust Thee whatever be our lot; until the day dawns, and the shadows flee away. AMEN

Batteling Busyness Matt 5:14-15#Nightlight #RTTBROS

Batteling Busyness Matt 5:14-15#Nightlight #RTTBROS

Matthew 5:14-15 KJV says “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” This passage is often interpreted as a call to Christians to be open about their faith and not hide it away.

In the context of busyness, this passage can be interpreted as a call to Christians to not let frenetic busyness hide their faith. Instead, they should let their faith shine through in all aspects of their lives. This means slowing down and getting quite enough to really be with God and shine forth his love to those around us.

In conclusion, Christians should not let busyness hide their faith but should let it shine through in all aspects of their lives. This includes being honest and ethical in all dealings with others and taking time to reflect on their relationship with God. By doing so, they can be a light to the world and help others see the love of Christ through their actions.

Beware The Banarang Luke 8:16 #RTTBROS #nightlight

Beware The Banarang Luke 8:16 #RTTBROS #nightlight

Beware The Banagarang #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Luke 8:16.  “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.”

In the movie Hook, Rufio represents those in life who hide their light under the bed of laziness and don't want to grow up and be responsible. They want to live in the island of lost boys with the rallying cry of "banagarang" so beware the banarang, let your light shine. Luke 8:16 is about not hiding your light under a vessel or bed but letting it shine for all to see. It's a metaphor for not hiding your talents or abilities but using them to help others and make the world a better place.

The concept of "beware the banarang" is about being aware of mindsets and bad habits that hold you back or discourage you from pursuing your responsibities. It's about recognizing that there will always be people who don't want you to succeed and who will try to draw you away from what you really should be doing. But it's important to remember that you have the power to overcome these obstacles and achieve your goals. By letting your light shine and not hiding your talents, you can inspire others and make a positive impact on the world around you.

In conclusion, "beware the banarang" is a powerful concept that encourages us grow up not let anyone or anything hold us back. By letting our light shine and fulfilling all of our roles and goals in life, we can make a positive impact on the world around us and inspire others to do the same. So let us all beware the banarang and embrace our true potential!

Could Your Parrot Stay? Eph 4:29 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Could Your Parrot Stay? Eph 4:29 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Ephesians 4:29 KJV - 29  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers

President Andrew Jackson had a pet parrot named Poll which was known for its foul language. The story goes that the parrot started uttering obscenities during the former president’s own funeral and had to be removed.  The African Grey parrot was removed from his funeral at The Hermitage, Tennessee, for swearing so loud and long it disturbed the attendees.

Ephesians 4:29 is a reminder that our words have power and we should use them wisely. Perhaps we can use some truth from this verse to train our Parrot to use our communication for something more noble than swearing.  As a Christian, this verse can be applied in many ways. For example, it can be applied in our relationships with others. We should speak words that are uplifting and encouraging to others instead of tearing them down.

Another way this verse can be applied is in our social media usage. We should be careful about what we post online and how we interact with others on social media. Our words can have a lasting impact on others and we should use them to build others up instead of tearing them down.

Lastly, this verse can be applied in our daily lives. We should strive to speak words that are kind and loving to others. Our words can have a powerful impact on those around us and we should use them to make a positive difference in the world

Balance Phil 4:5-6 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Balance Phil. 4:4-5 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Philippians 4:4-5 KJV - .
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand

Balance is important in our lives today because it helps us maintain our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in work, social media, and other distractions that can take away from our well-being. By finding balance in our lives, we can reduce stress and anxiety, improve our relationships with others, and find more meaning and purpose in life.

Some ways to achieve balance in our lives include:
- Seeking guidance from God through prayer and reading the Bible.
- Prioritizing our time and energy on things that matter most to us and our faith.
- Setting boundaries with work and technology to avoid burnout and stress.
- Taking care of our physical health by eating healthy and exercising regularly.
- Spending time with family and friends to build meaningful relationships.
- Practicing Bible memorization and meditation to reduce stress and anxiety.

Call To The Small 1 Thess. 4:1 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Call To The Small 1 Thess. 4:1 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

1 Thessalonians 4:1 KJV -  Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more

"Many Christians are in the place that the Lord has appointed them, and yet the devil is harassing their lives with a sense that they are not quite pleasing the Lord. If they could just settle down in the place that God has assigned them and fill it faithfully and lovingly for Him, there would be more joy in their hearts and more power in their lives. God puts us in various places to serve Him, and the secret of accomplishing the most is to recognize our place as designated from Him and our service in it as pleasing to Him. Even in the great factory or the complex machine there is a place for the smallest screw and rivet as well as the great driving wheel and piston. So God has His "small parts" whose business is simply to stay where He puts them and to believe that He wants them there and is making the most of their lives in the little spaces that they fill for Him. There is something all can do, Tho' you're neither wise nor strong; You can be a helper true, You can stand when friends are few, Some lone heart has need of you, You can help along. How ye ought to walk and to please God -1 Thessalonians 4:1." A.B SIMPSON

The quote by A.B Simpson emphasizes the importance of recognizing our place as designated from God and our service in it as pleasing to Him. In other words, we should be content with where God has placed us and serve Him faithfully and lovingly in that place. Even if we feel like we are not quite pleasing the Lord, we should trust that He has appointed us there for a reason and that He is making the most of our lives in the little spaces that we fill for Him.

As modern Christians, we can apply this quote by recognizing that God has placed us in various places to serve Him. Whether it is in our workplace, school, or community, we should strive to fill our designated roles faithfully and lovingly for Him. We should also remember that even the smallest parts are important in God’s plan. Therefore, we should not underestimate the impact that we can have on others by simply being a helper true when friends are few or when some lone heart has need of us

Light For The Landmines Ps. 119:105 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Light for the Landmines Ps. 119:105 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Psalm 119:105 (KJV), it says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

John Bevere is right that we have a road map to all of the landmines that litter our journey through this life but we ignore the Bible instead of allowing it to illuminate our path and provide a light for our feet. The Bible is full of wisdom and guidance that can help us navigate through life’s challenges. It is a source of comfort and strength when we are feeling lost or alone.

In Psalm 119:105 (KJV), it says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” This verse illustrates the point that John Bevere is making. The Bible is like a lamp that illuminates our path so that we can see where we are going. It provides us with guidance and direction so that we can make wise choices and avoid the pitfalls that are waiting for us.

Here are three examples of landmines in our spiritual journey that the Bible warns us about:

Pride - Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) says “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Pride can cause us to think that we don’t need God or that we can do things on our own. This can lead to destruction and a fall.

Unforgiveness - Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV) says “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Unforgiveness can cause bitterness and resentment to grow in our hearts. This can lead to a breakdown in relationships and hinder our spiritual growth.

Lust - James 1:14-15 (KJV) says “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” Lust can lead us down a path of sin and destruction. It is important that we guard our hearts and minds against lustful thoughts and desires.

When we ignore the Bible, we are like someone stumbling around in the dark without a flashlight. We are more likely to make mistakes and fall into traps that could have been avoided if we had followed the guidance of the Bible. So let us take John Bevere’s advice and allow the Bible to illuminate our path and provide us with the wisdom and guidance that we need to navigate through life’s challenges.
