The Fathers Voice Jn 10:2-5 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Fathers Voice  Jn 10:2-5 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.  3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers John 10:2-5

Kristina Tieken writes " Comedian Michael Jr. makes people laugh for a living, but what happened in the delivery room with his newborn daughter was no laughing matter - it was a heartwarming event.

Studies have shown that babies can recognize a mother’s voice from the womb. Michael’s video shows the great power in a father’s voice as well.

After his baby, Portland, was delivered, Michael greeted his wailing child with a calm voice. His soothing tones and words of comfort stopped her cries as she listened. While the nurse attended to Portland's needs, Michael quieted down and she started to cry again.

When Michael told her “I love you,” she stopped crying and immediately opened her eyes as if she understood what those words meant

In reviewing the video, Michael Jr. couldn't help but be reminded of our relationship with God. He said people will have times when life is heavy and overwhelming, but they can find comfort in knowing they have a father that loves them.

“The key thing to do in those moments is be still and listen for the Father’s voice, because he is trying to talk to you … What he wants you to know is that he loves you. All you’ve got to do is open your eyes.”

The Farther Country Luke 15 #nightlight #RTTBROS

The Farther Country Luke 15  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Farther Country Luke 15
The story of the prodigal son in Luke chapter 15 is a powerful reminder of the love and grace of our Heavenly Father. It also teaches us an important lesson about chasing after those who have strayed from the path of righteousness.

In verse 13, we read that the prodigal son "took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living." This is a clear indication that the son had already made up his mind to leave and was not interested in staying with his father any longer. If the father had chased after him, he would have only run further and faster away from him.

Sometimes, we may find ourselves in a similar situation where we have a loved one who has strayed from the faith or is living a life that is contrary to God's will. Our natural instinct may be to chase after them and try to bring them back to the fold. However, we must remember that just like the prodigal son, they have to make the decision to come back on their own.

In verse 20, we see the father's response when the prodigal son finally returns home. "And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him." The father did not chase after his son, but he was always watching and waiting for him to return. When the son finally did come back, the father welcomed him with open arms and showed him unconditional love and forgiveness.

This is a powerful reminder that God is always watching and waiting for us to return to Him. He does not force us to come back, but He is always ready to welcome us with open arms when we do. We must trust in His timing and have faith that He will bring our loved ones back to Him in His own way and in His own time.

In conclusion, the story of the prodigal son teaches us that chasing after a prodigal may only cause them to run further away. Instead, we must trust in God's timing and have faith that He will bring them back to Him in His own way and in His own time. Let us always remember that our Heavenly Father is always watching and waiting for us to return to Him, and He will welcome us with open arms when we do.

Cautionary Tale Matt 5:16 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Cautionary Tale Matt 5:16  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Verse: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." - Matthew 5:16 (KJV)

Devotion:
As Christians, we are called to be a light in the world, shining the love and truth of Christ to those around us. But how we live our lives will determine whether we are a warning or an example to those around us. Our actions and attitudes have the power to either caution others about the dangers of a life lived apart from God or to inspire them to follow Christ.

The trajectory of our lives is determined by the choices we make each day. We can choose to live for ourselves, pursuing our own desires and ambitions, or we can choose to live for God, seeking to honor Him in all that we do. The path we choose will determine whether our lives are cautionary or laudatory.

If we choose to live for ourselves, we may achieve success and gain the admiration of others, but our lives will ultimately be empty and meaningless. On the other hand, if we choose to live for God, we may face challenges and difficulties, but our lives will be filled with purpose and joy.

So, what do you choose? Will you live for yourself or for God? Will you be a cautionary tale or an example to others? Let us choose to let our light shine before men, that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. May our lives be a testimony to the transforming power of Christ and an inspiration to those around us.
