Satan's Startegy 2 Cor 2:11 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Satan's Startegy 2 Cor 2:11 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Satanic Strategies
1. Deception.  Satan is the father of Lies he uses deception and whispers lies to us all the time.
2. Distraction.  He trys to use the cares of this world to keep us focused on anything but God.
3. Division. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places, out real enemy is spiritual not physical.
4. Discouragement. He will do everything in his power to wear you down through prolonged attack.  He will attack on multiple fronts all at the same time.  Hoping to cause you to quit.

Here is a devotion on understanding the strategies or devices of Satan in spiritual warfare written by Max Lucado:

> "Satan’s strategies are all aimed at trying to kill, steal, and destroy us. Satan hates us. He hates God. His hatred is manifested through his schemes to destroy God’s people. Satan will use every tactic possible to get our focus off of the Lord and onto ourselves. One of Satan’s greatest tools is deception."

> "When we worship, we do what Satan did not do – we place God on the throne. When we pick up the sword of Scripture, we do what Jesus did in the wilderness. He responded to Satan by proclaiming truth. And since Satan has a severe allergy to truth, he left Jesus alone. Satan will not linger long where God is praised and prayers are offered."

> "Don’t fault the plunging economy or a raging dictator for your anxiety. They’re simply tools in Satan’s tool kit. We can’t understand God’s narrative without understanding Satan’s strategy."

> "God calls the devil by name and promises to defeat him. Be alert to the devil, and be assured his days are numbered."

"ANYTHING BUT PRAYER" 1 Thess 5:17-22 #NormanKissinger #NK #Nightlight #RTTBROS

"ANYTHING BUT PRAYER"  1 Thess 5:17-22 #NormanKissinger #NK   #Nightlight #RTTBROS

1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 KJV - 16 Rejoice evermore.17 Pray without ceasing.18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.19 Quench not the Spirit.20 Despise not prophesyings.21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.22 Abstain from all appearance of evil

Prayer is indeed a powerful tool that we can use to communicate with God. According to Adrian Rogers, "Prayer is not just getting ready for Christian service. Prayer is Christian service"

It is true that Satan wants more than anything to stop us from praying. This is because he knows that prayer is one of the most powerful weapons we have against him. When we pray, we are inviting God into our lives and asking Him to work on our behalf. This is why it is so important to pray without ceasing ³.

Tracking our prayers in a systematic way can be a great way to see how God is moving in our lives. When we see how God is answering our prayers, it can be a great encouragement to pray more and trust Him more. As Adrian Rogers said, "When we track our prayers in some systematic way, we begin to see and be reminded that God is moving in a profound way on our behalf which will cause us to pray more and God to move more which unleashes God's power and program in a fresh powerful way

Fly His Banner Ps. 20:5 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Fly His Banner Ps. 20:5  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Psalm 20:5 KJV  says "We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions."

There are many stories of soldiers grabbing banners and turning the tide of battle. One such story is from the Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War. On July 2, 1863, Union General Winfield Scott Hancock ordered his men to take a Confederate position on Cemetery Ridge. As they advanced, a Union soldier named Sergeant William H. Carney grabbed the American flag and ran forward, despite being shot several times. He planted the flag on the Confederate position and held it there until reinforcements arrived.

Setting up banners in the name of God means to honor God and celebrate His faithfulness. In the past, banners were used as military equipment to assemble, direct, distinguish, and encourage troops. They might have been used for other purposes as well.

In the context of Psalm 20:5 KJV, setting up banners means to wage war in God's name and make His glory our end in every expedition. We should ask counsel at His mouth and take Him along with us. We should follow His conduct, implore His aid, depend upon it, and refer the issue to Him.

Spiritual warfare is a biblical concept involving the struggle against evil forces. The Bible speaks of spiritual warfare in many places, but most directly in Ephesians 6:12, where Paul speaks of putting on the full armor of God: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”

Here are three truths about spiritual warfare:

1. Spiritual warfare is real. The Bible tells us that we are in a spiritual battle against evil forces. We must be prepared for this battle by putting on the full armor of God.

2. Spiritual warfare is not just about us. It is also about God's glory. We should make His glory our end in every expedition and follow His conduct, implore His aid, depend upon it, and refer the issue to Him.

3. Spiritual warfare is not just about fighting against evil forces but also about living a life that honors God. We should live a life that is pleasing to God and that reflects His love and grace to others.

Satan Hindered Us C.H Spurgeon

#Morningglory

RTTBROS

“Satan hindered us.”

1 Thessalonians 2:18

Since the first hour in which goodness came into conflict with evil, it has never ceased to be true in spiritual experience, that Satan hinders us. From all points of the compass, all along the line of battle, in the vanguard and in the rear, at the dawn of day and in the midnight hour, Satan hinders us. If we toil in the field, he seeks to break the ploughshare; if we build the wall, he labours to cast down the stones; if we would serve God in suffering or in conflict—everywhere Satan hinders us. He hinders us when we are first coming to Jesus Christ. Fierce conflicts we had with Satan when we first looked to the cross and lived. Now that we are saved, he endeavours to hinder the completeness of our personal character. You may be congratulating yourself, “I have hitherto walked consistently; no man can challenge my integrity.” Beware of boasting, for your virtue will yet be tried; Satan will direct his engines against that very virtue for which you are the most famous. If you have been hitherto a firm believer, your faith will ere long be attacked; if you have been meek as Moses, expect to be tempted to speak unadvisedly with your lips. The birds will peck at your ripest fruit, and the wild boar will dash his tusks at your choicest vines. Satan is sure to hinder us when we are earnest in prayer. He checks our importunity, and weakens our faith in order that, if possible, we may miss the blessing. Nor is Satan less vigilant in obstructing Christian effort. There was never a revival of religion without a revival of his opposition. As soon as Ezra and Nehemiah begin to labour, Sanballat and Tobiah are stirred up to hinder them. What then? We are not alarmed because Satan hindereth us, for it is a proof that we are on the Lord’s side, and are doing the Lord’s work, and in his strength we shall win the victory, and triumph over our adversary.
