THE MORNING COMETH
"And the evening and the morning were the first day."-- Gen 1:5.

SIX TIMES these words are repeated, and the one lesson that rings out is that God counts His periods, not as man does from night to night, but from evening till morning. ' Not first the light, and after that the dark; but first the dark, and after that the light." God saw that each night would end in daylight, and that the end of all the nights and all the days would be the eternal day in which there can be no darkness at all. This is what St. John saw: "There shall be no night there, for the Lord God giveth them light" (Rev 22:5). The sun of materialism sets in a black ocean, unlit by the sar of hope. But as long as God is, we believe that He will make a new heaven and new earth; and from out of what seems disappointing and hopeless He will bring a fairer creation than before. Creation shall participate in the glorious liberty of the sons of God. Watchman what of the night? The morning cometh! The darkness will finally pass away before the radiance of the dawn, and this because God is God; He is Love and Light and His Word creates.

So it is with the individual. Life may be dark. Sin is darkness; sorrow is darkness; ignorance is darkness, and these three may be part of your daily lot. But the night is far spent, the day is at hand. For you the morning star is in the sky. The education of your soul is like that of a child at school. How hard and difficult those first days, but when the rudiments were mastered; when the discipline had played its part, then were reaped the harvests of sowing, and darkness was turned to day. Be of good cheer! Even in death there is nothing to fear. "That night they caught nothing; but when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore." The dark waves, as they break around the boat of your life, are bearing you onward to the morning meal upon the golden sands, where you will find that Love has gone before you with its preparations! It shall be evening and morning and lo! the day without night.

PRAYER

O God, the darkness and light are both alike to Thee, and the night shineth as the day. Help us to follow Thee even through the valley of the shadow, and to trust Thee whatever be our lot; until the day dawns, and the shadows flee away. AMEN

Matthew 5:14-15 KJV says “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.” This passage is often interpreted as a call to Christians to be open about their faith and not hide it away.

In the context of busyness, this passage can be interpreted as a call to Christians to not let frenetic busyness hide their faith. Instead, they should let their faith shine through in all aspects of their lives. This means slowing down and getting quite enough to really be with God and shine forth his love to those around us.

In conclusion, Christians should not let busyness hide their faith but should let it shine through in all aspects of their lives. This includes being honest and ethical in all dealings with others and taking time to reflect on their relationship with God. By doing so, they can be a light to the world and help others see the love of Christ through their actions.

Luke 8:16. “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.”

In the movie Hook, Rufio represents those in life who hide their light under the bed of laziness and don't want to grow up and be responsible. They want to live in the island of lost boys with the rallying cry of "banagarang" so beware the banarang, let your light shine. Luke 8:16 is about not hiding your light under a vessel or bed but letting it shine for all to see. It's a metaphor for not hiding your talents or abilities but using them to help others and make the world a better place.

The concept of "beware the banarang" is about being aware of mindsets and bad habits that hold you back or discourage you from pursuing your responsibities. It's about recognizing that there will always be people who don't want you to succeed and who will try to draw you away from what you really should be doing. But it's important to remember that you have the power to overcome these obstacles and achieve your goals. By letting your light shine and not hiding your talents, you can inspire others and make a positive impact on the world around you.

In conclusion, "beware the banarang" is a powerful concept that encourages us grow up not let anyone or anything hold us back. Ephesians 4:29 KJV - 29  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers

President Andrew Jackson had a pet parrot named Poll which was known for its foul language. The story goes that the parrot started uttering obscenities during the former president’s own funeral and had to be removed. The African Grey parrot was removed from his funeral at The Hermitage, Tennessee, for swearing so loud and long it disturbed the attendees.

Ephesians 4:29 is a reminder that our words have power and we should use them wisely. Perhaps we can use some truth from this verse to train our Parrot to use our communication for something more noble than swearing. As a Christian, this verse can be applied in many ways. For example, it can be applied in our relationships with others. We should speak words that are uplifting and encouraging to others instead of tearing them down.

Another way this verse can be applied is in our social media usage. We should be careful about what we post online and how we interact with others on social media. Our words can have a lasting impact on others and we should use them to build others up instead of tearing them down.

Lastly, this verse can be applied in our daily lives. We should strive to speak words that are kind and loving to others. Our words can have a powerful impact on those around us and we should use them to make a positive difference in the world

1 Thessalonians 4:1 KJV -  Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more

"Many Christians are in the place that the Lord has appointed them, and yet the devil is harassing their lives with a sense that they are not quite pleasing the Lord. If they could just settle down in the place that God has assigned them and fill it faithfully and lovingly for Him, there would be more joy in their hearts and more power in their lives. God puts us in various places to serve Him, and the secret of accomplishing the most is to recognize our place as designated from Him and our service in it as pleasing to Him. Even in the great factory or the complex machine there is a place for the smallest screw and rivet as well as the great driving wheel and piston. So God has His "small parts" whose business is simply to stay where He puts them and to believe that He wants them there and is making the most of their lives in the little spaces that they fill for Him. There is something all can do, Tho' you're neither wise nor strong; You can be a helper true, You can stand when friends are few, Some lone heart has need of you, You can help along. The quote by A.B Simpson emphasizes the importance of recognizing our place as designated from God and our service in it as pleasing to Him. In other words, we should be content with where God has placed us and serve Him faithfully and lovingly in that place. Even if we feel like we are not quite pleasing the Lord, we should trust that He has appointed us there for a reason and that He is making the most of our lives in the little spaces that we fill for Him.

As modern Christians, we can apply this quote by recognizing that God has placed us in various places to serve Him. Whether it is in our workplace, school, or community, we should strive to fill our designated roles faithfully and lovingly for Him. We should also remember that even the smallest parts are important in God’s plan. Therefore, we should not underestimate the impact that we can have on others by simply being a helper true when friends are few or when some lone heart has need of us

Light for the Landmines Ps. 119:105 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Psalm 119:105 (KJV), it says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

John Bevere is right that we have a road map to all of the landmines that litter our journey through this life but we ignore the Bible instead of allowing it to illuminate our path and provide a light for our feet. The Bible is full of wisdom and guidance that can help us navigate through life’s challenges. It is a source of comfort and strength when we are feeling lost or alone.

In Psalm 119:105 (KJV), it says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” This verse illustrates the point that John Bevere is making. The Bible is like a lamp that illuminates our path so that we can see where we are going. It provides us with guidance and direction so that we can make wise choices and avoid the pitfalls that are waiting for us.

Here are three examples of landmines in our spiritual journey that the Bible warns us about:

Pride - Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) says “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Pride can cause us to think that we don’t need God or that we can do things on our own. This can lead to destruction and a fall.

Unforgiveness - Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV) says “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Unforgiveness can cause bitterness and resentment to grow in our hearts. This can lead to a breakdown in relationships and hinder our spiritual growth.

Lust - James 1:14-15 (KJV) says “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” Lust can lead us down a path of sin and destruction. It is important that we guard our hearts and minds against lustful thoughts and desires.

When we ignore the Bible, we are like someone stumbling around in the dark without a flashlight. We are more likely to make mistakes and fall into traps that could have been avoided if we had followed the guidance of the Bible. So let us take John Bevere’s advice and allow the Bible to illuminate our path and provide us with the wisdom and guidance that we need to navigate through life’s challenges.
