Beauty For Ashes Isa. 61:3 #nightlight #RTTBROS

BEAUTY FOR ASHES Isa. 61:3  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Isaiah 61:3 KJV says “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.” This verse is a promise of God’s restoration and transformation. It is a promise that God can transform our captivity into conquering, from sighing to singing and from groaning to glory.

God can take our brokenness and turn it into something beautiful. He can take our ashes and turn them into something new. He can take our mourning and turn it into joy. He can take our heaviness and turn it into praise. He can take our captivity and turn it into conquering.

God is in the business of transformation. He wants to transform us from the inside out. He wants to make us new creations in Christ Jesus. He wants to give us beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise for heaviness.

So if you are feeling broken today, remember that God can transform your brokenness into something beautiful. If you are mourning today, remember that God can turn your mourning into joy. If you are feeling heavy today, remember that God can turn your heaviness into praise. And if you are feeling captive today, remember that God can turn your captivity into conquering.

Let us pray: Dear Lord, thank You for Your promise of restoration and transformation. Help us to trust You with our brokenness, mourning, heaviness, and captivity. Help us to believe that You can transform our lives from the inside out. Help us to be trees of righteousness, planted by You for Your glory. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Crisis Prayer Rom 8:26-28#Nightlight #RTTBROS

Crisis Prayer Rom 8:26-28#Nightlight #RTTBROS
Romans 8:26-29 KJV - 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

"What to pray when you don't know what to say":

When we are in times of crisis in our lives and we are so broken and shattered that all we can say is "Oh God"...Oh God", it is important to remember that the Holy Spirit makes that prayer into a powerful petition to a God who cares. Romans 8:26-29 KJV says "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

When we don't know what to pray, we can ask for guidance and the power of grace to hear divine instructions. Pour out your heart to God, even if you don't understand what to pray, and trust that the Holy Spirit will intercede for you. Psalm 143:1 is a verse that can be prayed when you don't know what to pray ¹.

One of the best ways to pray when you don’t know what to say is to trust in God and lean on His Word. Immerse yourself in it. While fear may continue to show up for you, when you acknowledge and truly believe that God is in control, anything is possible.

“When you don’t know what to say, just say Jesus. There is power in the name, the name of Jesus. If the words won’t come cause you’re too afraid to pray, just say Jesus.” – Just Say Jesus from 7eventh Time Down
Just as the words to the song say, there is power in the name of Jesus!
