Reassurance Romans 8:38-39 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:38-39

Robert J. Morgan is a pastor and author who wrote a book called “Great Is Thy Faithfulness: 52 Reasons to Trust God When Hope Feels Lost” 12. In this book, he provides 52 scriptures and devotions that remind us that our loving God always follows through on what He says He will do

In it he shared the story of Katie McKenna was run over by a truck and was in surgery for many hours; in the hospital for many weeks. When she returned home from the hospital she was still traumatized physically and psychologically. But her parents were there to help her. She wrote about how she would always ask them if it was going to be okay. She wasn’t even sure of what “it” was; she just needed reassurance. Her mom and dad did that for her—they were hopeful, so she was hopeful; they were sure, so she was sure. Without them she would have fallen into the dark side of her fear. They pulled her into the light of a better future .

The ministry of reassurance is powerful. We need someone to tell us it is going to be okay, whatever “it” is. We need someone to give us reassurance about life. When they are hopeful, it helps us be hopeful.

Here are some verses from the King James Version of the Bible that talk about reassurance:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” - John 14:27
