Meek Nor Weak Titus 3:2 #Nightlight #RTTBROSTitus 3:2

Meek Nor Weak Titus 3:2 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Titus 3:2 - To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men
Meekness should not be mistaken for weakness or cowardice. As stated by the Lord Jesus, "I am meek (gentle) and lowly (humble) in heart." Despite being the strongest individual to have ever lived, Jesus identified himself as meek and humble. His strength was under the complete control of God, as He lived in submission to Him. There was a sign that said "If you believe meekness is weakness, try being meek for a week."
Often, individuals question why they cannot hear God's voice. It is not that God is silent; rather, we are not attentive. If you desire God's guidance and leadership, it is crucial to develop a meek and humble lifestyle. By exhibiting a repentant, receptive, and responsive spirit, God will provide direction. Instead of being like a ship navigating through a dark and turbulent night without any means of guidance and control, tossed aimlessly by the worlds influences, God will reveal His path to you. He will gently guide you, steering you in the right direction. You will be able to discern His whispers, as He guides you by subtly adjusting your course. Consider the misconceptions you have held about meekness in the past. Have you cultivated a repentant, receptive, and responsive spirit toward God? How can you further develop these qualities? Take time to pray and ask God to reveal areas in your life where you need to grow in meekness.

Become A Benefactor #Nightlight #RTTBROSJ.H Jowett

Become A Benefactor  #Nightlight #RTTBROS
J.H Jowett

THE BENEFITTED AS BENEFACTORS
“Who comforteth us ... that we may be able to comfort.”
—2Corinthians 1:3-7
AND how does the Lord comfort us? He has a thousand different ways, and no one can ever tell by what way the comfort will come to his soul. Sometimes it comes by the door of memory, and sometimes by the door of hope. Sometimes it is borne to us through the ministry of nature, and at other times through the ministry of human speech and kindness. But always, I think, it brings us the sense of a Presence, as though we had a great Friend in the room, and the troubled heart gains quietness and peace. The mist clears a little, and we have a restful assurance of our God.

Now comforted souls are to be comforters. They who have received benefits of grace are to be benefactors. They who have heard the sweet music of God’s abiding love are to sing it again to others. They who have seen the glory are to become evangelists. We must not seek to hoard spiritual treasure. As soon as we lock it up we begin to lose it. A mysterious moth and rust take it away. If we do not comfort others, our own comfort will turn again to bitterness; the clouds will lower and we shall be imprisoned in the old woe. But the comfort which makes a comforter grows deeper and richer every day.

4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2 Cor 1:4 KJV

From Chaos To Calm Gen.1:1-3 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

From Chaos To Calm Gen.1:1-3  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Genesis 1:1-3 KJVS - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

"The presence of anxiety is unavoidable, but the prison of anxiety is optional"- Max Lucado

When your funds are low and your debts are high.
When your blood count is up and your faith is ebbing away.
When your marriage is going South and the kids have gone prodigal.
When your blood pressure is up and your patience is deplated.

Let God Hover over your Chaos and bring calm to it. After the initial creation in Genesis 1:1 we see how God interacts with chaos, and darkness he hocers over it and brings it into submission.  He creates a world of order and beauty out of darkness and Chaos.  What area in your life does God want to hover over and transform tonight.

"In the treatment of anxiety, a proper understanding of sovereignty is huge. Anxiety is often the consequence of perceived chaos. If we sense we are victims of unseen, turbulent, random forces, we are troubled.”- Max Lucado

Intensity In Prayer By Norman Kissinger #RTTBROS

Intensity In Prayer" 1 Samuel 1:10-11 #NightLight #RTTBROS. #NK #NormanKissinger

"Intensity In Prayer" 1 Samuel 1:10-11 by Norman Kissinger 1 Samuel 1:10-11 KJVS - 10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. 11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

Hannah was a woman who had been barren for many years and was deeply distressed. She prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly. She vowed a vow and said,   “ O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.”

E.M Bounds once said, “The men who have most fully illustrated Christ in their character, and have most powerfully affected the world for Him, have been men who spent so much time with God as to make it a notable feature in their lives. TO BE LITTLE WITH GOD IS TO BE LITTLE FOR GOD.”

This quote emphasizes the importance of spending time with God in prayer. It is through prayer that we can develop an intimate relationship with God and grow in our faith. When we pray with intensity, we are able to connect with God on a deeper level and experience His presence in our lives.

In conclusion, intensity in prayer is essential for every believer who desires to grow in their faith. It is through prayer that we can experience God’s presence in our lives and develop an intimate relationship with Him. Let us follow Hannah’s example and pray with intensity, trusting that God hears our prayers and will answer them according to His perfect will.

ONE THING Deut. 31:6 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

ONE THING Deut. 31:6 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV) - "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

Ray Pritchard writes....

"One Thing God Will Never Do

Awhile back I heard a TV preacher offer this insight: “God will never bring us to the place where we no longer need him.”

And all God’s children said, “Hmmmm.”

That’ll make you stop and think. Down deep there is a part of us that would like to come to a place where we don’t have to trust in the Lord so much. Not that we don’t want to pray, but secretly we’d like to be in such a place of earthly fulfillment where we didn’t have to pray desperate prayers to the Almighty. It would be wonderful (or so we think) if things were going so well that all we had to do was to praise the Lord all day long.

Not going to happen.

If all our needs were met, we’d end up forgetting God just like the children of Israel did in the Old Testament. Earthly prosperity tends to be no friend of spiritual growth. Total prosperity generally means total disaster. I think that preacher was right on in what he said. God intends to bring us again and again to the place where we are crying out to the Lord, begging for his mercy and his grace.

That’s not a fun place to be.

But it’s where we need to be.

Anything that drives us to our knees is good for the soul."

Bookends For Your Day Neh. 8:10 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Bookends For Your Day Neh. 8:10  #Nightlight #RTTBROS
Bookends for your day.

Nehemiah 8:10 KJVS - 10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength

I feel it my duty to be as happy as the Lord wants me to be–Robert Murray McCheyne

It is imperative that we incorporate a sense of cheerfulness into our daily routines. To this end, I would like to offer two suggestions. Firstly, in the morning, sing a verse of a hymn as you begin your day. I enjoy gazing at the beauty of God's creation and giving voice to a verse or two of one of the great hymns of the faith. For example
"I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share
as we tarry there
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing"

Secondly, before going to sleep at night, as a new nightly routine, think of three things that you are thankful for. Instead of allowing your mind to dwell on the stresses of the day, take some time to thank God for three good things. This could be for helping you not lose your temper, or a good deal you found shopping that day.  By starting the morning with a song and ending it with a prayer of thanksgiving, we can establish a routine that will positively impact those around us, making us the kind of people who spread joy wherever we go.

Not Anymore 2 Corinthians 5:17 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Not Anymore 2 Corinthians 5:17  #Nightlight #RTTBROS

2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

The concept of "I am not that person anymore" is a powerful one. It reminds us that we are new creatures in Christ and that our old selves have passed away. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

The illustration of a missing person search where the only picture used on the missing persons poster was a 5th grade photo and the missing person is in their 60's is a great way to illustrate this concept. You wouldn't be successful in your search because for all practical purposes that 5th grader doesn't exist anymore. This is similar to how we are not the same people we were before we came to Christ. We have been transformed into new creatures with new features.

"Satan knows your name but calls you by your sin but God knows your sin and calls you by your name." This quote is a great reminder that our identity as believers is in Christ. We have a new identity in Him and we are no longer defined by our past sins or mistakes. We are defined by who we are in Christ.
