The Bible has a verse that says "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17 This verse emphasizes the importance of doing the right thing when we know what it is.
In times of crisis, it is easy to fall into fight or flight mode. However, there is often a third response that happens - "Freeze." We fall into the paralysis of analysis. We don't know what to do so we do nothing. Instead, the strategy is to do the next right thing to keep moving forward.
When we are faced with difficult situations, it can be hard to know what the right thing is. But if we take a step back and look at the situation objectively, we can often see what needs to be done. It may not be easy, but doing the right thing is always worth it in the end.
Doing the right thing can also mean different things to different people. It can mean being honest when it's hard or standing up for what you believe in. Whatever it means to you, remember that doing the right thing is always the best choice.
