"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." - Galatians 6:7
A sign over a freeway said "Who hates speeding tickets, raise your right foot." It means you have agency, you have the ability to make choices. while you are free to make any choice you like you are not free from the consequences of that choice.
