sweeter days by Adrian Rogers

Love Worth Finding
Every Day Can Be Sweeter Than the Day Before

BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…” (Hebrews 3:15)
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
We hear people say, "Well, get right with God—you may die." Let me change that: "Get right with God—you may live." And if you live, you can live with Jesus.

Don't get the idea that being a Christian is paying some sort of penalty to get into Heaven…like taking bad medicine to get well. You don't like the way it tastes, but you choke it down.

I would be a Christian even if there were no Heaven or Hell, just to be able to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in this life. Now, there is a Heaven and there is a Hell, but serving Jesus is so wonderful, I’d do it even if there weren’t. Jesus said, “I have come that you might have life, and… have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Oh, there are sorrows. We have troubles. Persecutions, certainly. Unsaved people have them too. But God’s child has Someone to bring his sorrows to. A Christian has a hope and a strength and looks forward to the day when there'll be no more sorrows, no more suffering when Jesus takes every tear and turns it to a pearl; the day He takes every hurt and turns it to a hallelujah.

ACTION POINT:
We have a loving Savior. How wonderful to know the Lord Jesus Christ in this life. Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before. Get right with God now, because you may live.

The Best Gift

John 3:16-21

Everyone loves presents, yet many people reject the greatest gift ever given. This gift is God’s Son, and the term “only begotten” expresses His uniqueness. There has never been anyone else like Jesus, who is truly God and truly human. He is the only One who lived a perfect life and died as a sinless sacrifice in the place of sinful humanity.

When God gave the gift of His Son, mankind had two options. They could either accept Jesus by faith or reject Him. This is the most important choice a person will ever make, because the outcome has eternal ramifications. God will one day judge the people He has created, and that judgment will be on the basis of what they have done with the gift of His Son. Those who believe in the Savior will not be condemned, because they have received eternal life. However, John 3:18 says whoever doesn’t believe has already been judged and condemned for unbelief.

The determining factor between the accepters and the rejecters is the object of their love. Those who refuse God’s Son love their sin and don’t want to change. But believers come to Christ because they love the truth and desire righteousness. Which one are you?

Are You Ready To Go?

As a pastor I have been with many people when they have passed away. It was a part of my calling to ready people for what comes next after this life is over. What i found was the people are designed for a world beyond this one. We are vastly more then "moist robots" we are living souls. It is telling to me that every culture has a theology of life after death, it seems universally built into the human race. There are even modern studies of NDE (near death experience) that have pointed to life after this life. Anyway that is a long way to say I helped people get ready for the final frontier, the real undiscovered county, ETERNITY. Those who died believing passed with peace and hope. What i want to say is we all need to ready ourselves for the moment of our passing. We have a unique opportunity during this current pandemic to ready ourselves for that final day whenever it may come.

The conclusion I came to during this trying time was to be ready for death at anytime but pray for healing and life. So here is my prayer.
"Dear Father, we pray a hedge of protection around all who read this. Keep the virus at bay, keep families safe, please bring healing to any who have contested the virus keep their lungs healthy give them oxygen full and free. Be with the courageous doctors and nurses who are battling against this disease. Lord we are asking for monetary provision for any who are unable to work. Meet their daily needs allow them to be able to keep their homes and transportation. Please provide.  Be with us all as we establish a faith in the Work of your Son Jesus on the Cross where he provided a way for us to get to heaven to experience real life with you forever. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus.
Amen"

I am including a picture to illustrate how to establish a faith that can ready you for real life after this life.
