Hearing God's Voice in the Last Days. #Nightlight #NormanKissinger #NK #RTTBROS
Verse: "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:" - Acts 2:17 (KJV)
Devotion:
In the last days, God has promised to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, enabling believers to hear His voice and know His will for their lives. As the passage in Acts 2:17-18 states, this outpouring is not limited by age, gender, or social status. God desires to speak to each one of us more than we desire to hear from Him.
While the Bible provides principles for making decisions, it does not always give specific answers to questions like which college to attend, which car to buy, or whom to marry. In these situations, we must learn to discern God's voice and follow His leading.
Two fundamental principles for hearing God's voice are:
1. Follow the written rules - God's Word should always be our primary guide.
2. Follow our last order first - Obey what we already know God has spoken to us about doing.
God may speak to us through various means, such as dreams, visions, or thoughts impressed upon our minds. However, it is essential to test these experiences against Scripture and ensure they align with what we already know to be God's will.
Hearing God's voice is vital for the times we live in. As we seek His guidance and obey His leading, we can be effective in the ministries and tasks He has called us to do. Let us commit to spending time in prayer and in His Word, cultivating a listening heart that is attentive to His voice.
