The Century Lesson

"12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." Psalm 90:12

Imagine sitting down with someone who has lived over 100 years. What wisdom and perspective they must have! A survey asked centenarians what they would do differently if they could live life over again. Their top three answers provide a lesson for us all:

Relate more. Make relationships a priority. The centenarians said their most meaningful memories were of time spent with family and friends. Don't let busyness crowd out connecting with loved ones.

Risk more. The older adults regretted risks not taken more than mistakes made. Don't let fear hold you back from trying new things and pursuing dreams. Step out in faith.

Reflect more. Wise elders emphasized the importance of self-examination and learning from experiences. Make time for contemplation and growth. An unexamined life is not worth living.

No matter our age, we can apply this century lesson. Value relationships. Take courageous risks. Reflect and learn. May these guide us to live each day wisely and without regret.
