Dear Father Above we thank you for this past year even though it has been the most challenging year in recent memory. We ask wisdom to learn the lessons you are trying to teach us, like our need to cherish liberty even above empty promises of security from the government. Let this be a year of reconnection and a reprioritizing close relationships. This last year has shown us that sports and entertainment are not the highest of priorities let us live for and lean into the things that really matter. Let us live with integrity this new year ridding ourselves of addictions and sins that have been binding us up for decades. Keep our friends and family safe on the roads this new years weekend. Be with our lived ones in nursing homes and hospitals they need an infusion of hope in this new year. Most of all, we all need you this year and the hope only a relationship with your Son Jesus can give. It has been rightly said "Man can live weeks without food, days without water, and Minuets without air, but we can't live one second without hope." Jesus you are our only hope, we say with John the Revelator, "Even so come quickly Lord Jesus"
